Parkleuchten, Gruga Park, Essen, Germany

The "Parkleuchten" ("Lights in the Park") event, at the Gruga Park, Essen, Germany, was one of the photography highlights during my recent trip to Germany.
Thousands of lights are turned on during this nightly illumination, lighting up purpose-built objects, as well as the natural environment, creating not only black, but sometimes colourful shadows.
